Things to Do

From beach hopping to hikes and sunset strolls, here are some of our favorite spots and activities on the island. Get ready to explore and soak up the magic of Floripa!

🏖 Beaches We Love

Praia do Matadeiro (south): This is Bianca's favourite beach. Beautiful with a rustic feel, accessible only on foot, 15min walk from Armação. Great for swimming and escaping the crowds.


Praia Mole (east): Popular and lively, with great waves, beach bars, and a youthful energy. Great surfing spot.


Praia da Lagoinha do Leste (south): A secluded, wild beach surrounded by cliffs and lush forest. Reachable only by hike or a boat ride in a fisherman's boat — perfect for nature lovers and adventurers.


Jurerê Internacional (north): This is a calm beach perfect for lounging, sipping drinks, and soaking up that resort-style vibe.


Praia Brava (north): True to its name (“wild beach”), it’s dramatic, scenic, and a favorite among surfers. In the Summer months this is a popular place known for cool bars and music.


Praia do Forte (north): A quiet beach near Jurerê Internacional with calm waters, historic fortress ruins, and casual beachfront restaurants serving fresh seafood. Perfect for a relaxed swim and a laid-back lunch by the sea.

Mirante do Morro da Lagoa: A scenic viewpoint offering panoramic views of Lagoa da Conceição, the mountains, and the winding road below.


Dunas da Joaquina: Towering sand dunes perfect for sandboarding, climbing, or simply enjoying an epic sunset.


Trilha da Lagoinha do Leste: One of the island’s most iconic hikes, leading to a remote, stunning beach framed by cliffs and forest.


Boat ride to Ilha do Campeche: A short boat trip takes you to this protected island paradise, known for its crystal-clear water, white sand, and ancient rock engravings. Daily departures available from Praia da Armação or Barra da Lagoa (weather permitting).
